Real Customer – Air Fryer Cosori Review
I love this AF. I’m glad I trusted the 10,000 people who gave this Corsori 5.8 QT AF high reviews. I can’t imagine anyone regretting purchasing this item.Detailed review: This is my first AF and I read a lot of reviews and watched quite a few videos giving AF reviews. I have a family of 5 and my youngest is a 6’ tall teenage boy so I basically cook for 5 adults so AF cooking capacity was a factor. Other factors I considered where ease of cleaning, ease of use, how much I thought I’d actually use an AF, and cost. I only have had this AF for 5 days as of 7/24/2022. I will update this post in a few weeks. I have used this AF every day since using it.
**Air Fryer Cosori Review -UPDATE 8/5/2022**: I have used this air fryer every single day since I purchased it. I am amazed at how easy it makes cooking chicken breasts, chicken tenders, and pork chops. I especially like how the meat is fully cooked (I test using a meat thermometer) but still so tender and juicy. On my list of foods to try are a whole chicken and steaks. My teens use it to toast their sandwiches for lunch. It’s awesome at reheating leftovers (especially pizza!!!). Oh, yes, it makes awesome fries and onion rings. I am so happy I finally purchased an air fryer, and this Corsori is still easy to clean (even after I made pork chops with a lot of sauce the other night), easy to use, and has made cooking so much easier. I continue to highly recommend the Corsori 5.8 QT Air Fryer.
What I have made so far:
*French fries (frozen) – yes, excellent!! Easily handled entire bag and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just how I like them.
*Fried zucchini: the traditional flour, egg wash, breading. Instead of frying in a skillet of oil I simply misted the slices with olive oil. They were wonderful. Next time, I will try to make a keto version of these.
*chicken breakfast sausage links – also very good
*frozen salmon patties that I purchase at Costco – very good! What I like about this is that the salmon patties are usually my lunch. I practice 16:8 intermittent fasting. I don’t have the patience to do a lot of cooking for my first meal of the day and I want protein. This AF quickly cooks my salmon patty, it is delicious, and clean-up is a breeze!
*Italian hot sausage sandwiches – oh my! ❤️ I purchased the accessories for this AF. I used the cake pan in the AF to cook the onions and peppers. Then, I removed the veggies and cooked the sausages. My entire family and I loved how the AF cooked the sausages – crisp on the outside but juicy on the inside. Once the sausages were cooked, I made the sandwiches (sliced the sausage roll, put a sausage link in the roll, topped the sausage with the already cooked veggies. I put the sandwiches in the AF at 380° for 2 minutes. Oh my! I wish I had better words to describe just how good these sandwiches were! Disclaimer: I could have squeezed 3 sandwiches in at once but everything I’ve read says airflow is important, so I only did 2 at a time.
** update 8/5/20: I have also made boneless chicken breasts, bone-in chicken pieces (breasts, wings, drumsticks), and pork chops. Everything has turned out great!
Size: the square basket (vs a round basket) seems to make the cooking capacity of the 5.8 QT Corsori greater than similarly sized AF’s. I considered an oven style AF but I didn’t want to lose that much counter space. I am quite happy with the size of this AF. Ease of cleaning: Every time I use this AF and then clean it, I am AMAZED at how easy it is to clean! 👍👍
Ease of use: As I stated earlier, this is my first air fryer. I find it very easy to use. It’s fairly self-explanatory with the preset buttons.
How much I thought I’d use an AF: This point was very important to me. I have been the proud owner for 5 years, at least, of a bread machine that I’ve only used less than 10 times. Please don’t judge me, I hear about it all the time from my family. I have used this AF everyday since I received it, some days twice. I see this AF becoming an essential tool in my kitchen.
Cost: I am a big believer in “you get what you pay for”. That said, I have 2 kids in college and another one that will be headed to college in a few years, so I can’t unwisely throw money around. I don’t have any experience with any other air fryers, so I can’t comment on whether I think more expensive brands are worth the extra expense or not. What I can say is that I think I definitely got my money’s worth with the Corsori 5.8 QT air fryer.
Final words: if you are lost in the sea of various air fryer brands, in my opinion you will be very happy if you decide to purchase the Corsori 5.8 QT air fryer. I purchased the AF with my own money and I am not reimbursed in any way for this review. I seldom write reviews but I am so impressed with this AF and I want to help anyone who is as befuddled as I was when I was trying to chose which AF to purchase.
Other recommendations: I did purchase the accessories that are available from Corsori for this AF. I am glad I did, they make the AF even more versatile. I recommend having tongs that are safe for scratch resistant surfaces. Lastly, I did put an insulated counter protector under my AF. It doesn’t seem to get that hot under my AF but I have new counters, so I am using a protector just in case.
